A Little about Darragh................

Darragh McGann hails from Cobh, Co. Cork, Ireland and has been singing for many years both in Cobh and the East Cork area.

In 1995, Darrragh got her first real break when she was hired to be Stand-In and Double for the late Marlon Brando during the filming of the comedy movie “Divine Rapture”. While the movie itself was never completed due to financial difficulties, Darragh received great advice from “The Godfather” himself. While singing one evening on the set of the movie in Ballycotton, Co. Cork, Marlon Brando suggested to Darragh that she should consider recording some music and taking a chance.

Following the well intentioned advice from Mr. Brando, Darragh enrolled in Voice Coaching with the late Maeve Coughlan at the Cork School of Music where she received vocal training as a Lyrical Baritone. Since then, Darragh has also built up a reputation as been a "Singing Taxi Driver" and her success has brought her Television appearances on RTE's All Ireland Talent Show as well as "Seoige" where she was presented with the challenge of performing the Irish National Anthem at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin in 2009 before a crowd of 50,000 people.

Influenced by various great singers such as Russell Watson, John Denver, Ronan Tynan, and Josh Groban, Darragh puts together a performance that demonstrates her unique vocal range covering songs from Contempory, Irish and Classical Genres.

In 2009 she released his first solo album “A New Beginning” which is filled with Easy Listening Classics from songwriters such as Bob Dylan, John Denver and even some of his own creations.

In April 2011, she released his second album “Inside Out” which shows her classical range with songs such as “Nella Fantasia” and “The Impossible Dream” to classics from Neil Diamond and Andy Williams.

In 2014, Darragh reached a new audience with her stirring performance of "Danny Boy" on ITV's Britain's Got Talent which got great comments from the celebrity judges which included music supremo Simon Cowell who described Darragh's voice as "Very Special". Dara was later invited to perform the Irish National Anthem for 82,000 people in Croke Park and successful recordings with the Prague FILMharmonic Orchestra led her to scoring his first Christmas No. 1 on the iTunes World Charts with her performance of "Winter Wonderland".
