Cork singing taxi driver to perform Amhrán na bhFiann at Liam Miller memorial match

Darragh McGann had been a taxi driver for 18 years in
Following BGT he recorded a few songs with a producer and was looking forward to starting work on his own album when he was diagnosed with MS.
After taking time out to deal with his health issues, he has vowed to keep doing what he loves and be chosen to sing Amhrán na bhFiann tomorrow afternoon at the Liam Miller memorial match in Páirc Uí Chaoimh is a massive step in his career.

Charity work has always been close to Darragh's heart and his desire to help others. The entire month of December was devoted to performing Charity Concerts around his native Cork and also included two days of busking in Dublin. The performances in Dublin were in support of the Simon Community and raised € 1200 to assist with feeding the homeless.
On December 5th, Darragh's recording of "Winter Wonderland" with the Prague FILMharmonic Orchestra was released Worldwide on iTunes and on December 9th in went straight to No. 1 in the iTunes World Music Charts and stayed in the top 3 for over 10 days. His recording of "Danny Boy" was also released on the same day and is getting a lot of air play.........

Croke Park Performance
On Sunday August 31st, Darragh had the great honour of performing the Irish National Anthem at Croke Park in Dublin for the Semi Final of the All Ireland Football Championship between Dublin and Donegal. Darragh, accompanied by the Artane Band performed to an audience of 81,500 people and it was also broadcast Live on RTE Radio, TV and Sky Sports. Check out his performance below.......
